SLIPPERY ROCK — Former Slippery Rock University four-year starters Kaylee Smith and Janna Reilly have joined the SRU women’s volleyball coaching staff.

Smith, a 2011 graduate whose 1,278 kills rank eighth in program history, will serve as assistant coach. Reilly, a 2015 graduate who ranks fourth all-time at The Rock with 2,979 career assists, is the graduate assistant.

Laurie Lokash returns as head coach.

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Ryan Blaney took the lead from Matt Crafton off a restart in a green-white-checkered finish and held off Kyle Busch to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck race Wednesday night at Bristol Motor Speedway.Blaney — whose father Dave Blaney and grandfather Lou Blaney won track championships at Lernerville Speedway — rebounded for his fourth career victory after losing a lap on the 0.533-mile oval when he was penalized for jumping a restart while leading on Lap 37.“Obviously, we didn't like it, but it was NASCAR's jurisdiction,” Blaney said. “It says so much for this team to be able to charge back up there.”Busch also made a furious late charge. The Sprint Cup driver was running third with 85 laps to go when he made a decision to pit for adjustments. He came out 14th, but moved to fifth heading into the final restart.

NEW YORK — New York Jets offensive lineman Oday Aboushi was suspended one game without pay by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy.Aboushi, entering his third NFL season, will be eligible to return to the Jets' active roster on Sept. 14, a day after the team's regular-season opener against the Cleveland Browns. He can participate in all preseason practices and games.

CLEVELAND — J.R. Smith looked around and realized there was no place like Cleveland.The free-wheeling and enigmatic shooter has agreed to re-sign with the Cavaliers, a person familiar with the decision told the Associated Press. Smith, who declined his $6.8 million player option shortly after the season, considered other options before returning to Cleveland, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract has not yet been signed.
