Theodore 'Ted' DeCola
Theodore “Ted” DeCola, 82, of Butler died Saturday evening at his home.
Born Aug. 4, 1929, in Osborne, Allegheny County, he was a son of the late John and Domenica (Utines) DeCola.
He was an insurance agent for the Beneficial Standard Life Insurance Co. and also had been a welder for the Pullman Standard Car Co. in Butler.
Ted was a member of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Center Township.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice C. (Ciochetto) DeCola, who he married June 7, 1952; two daughters, Pamela Anne and John Jaskot of Butler and Marianne D. and Michael Sprouse of Washington, Pa.; four grandchildren, Amanda Jaskot, Brandon Jaskot, Matthew Sprouse and Marissa Sprouse; a brother, Frank and Mary DeCola of Lower Burrell; two sisters-in-law, Emma Walter of Harrisville and Teresa DeCola of Slippery Rock; a brother-in-law, Charles and Mickey Ciochetto of Hermitage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mario and Patsy; and a sister, Marianni.
<B>DECOLA</B> — Friends of Theodore “Ted” DeCola, who died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, will be received at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, North Main Extension, Butler. The Rev. James Salberg, pastor, will officiate.
