Hoogerbrugge 50th anniversary
The Rev. John and Dawn Hoogerbrugge, of Zelienople, celebrated 50 years of marriage with an open house on May 25 at North Way Christian Community, Beaver Valley campus, in Rochester, Pa.
Hoogerbrugge married the former Dawn Blackstone on May 25, 1974, at Elim Bible Institute in Lima, N.Y.
They have four children, Jennifer Moses of Aberdeen, Md., Jay Hoogerbrugge of Beaver Falls, Erika Zimmerman of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Steve Hoogerbrugge of Beaver Falls.
The Hoogerbrugges also have nine grandchildren.
Hoogerbrugge is a retired minister.

The Hoogerbrugges are members of North Way Christian Community, Beaver Valley campus.
John and Dawn have served as pastors, missionaries and in health care. Now retired, they still make short-term mission trips to various countries. John also currently serves as elder at their church.
