Lena Buzanoski

Buzanoski

Lena L. Buzanoski, 93, of Butler, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Quality Life Services of Sarver.

Born July 23, 1930, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late David and Rose M. Nastasi Trombatt.

Lena was formerly employed at Preston Laboratories, E.H. Bilowich Construction, St. Kilian Parish in Cranberry Township, and Mansman Cindrich and Huber Attorneys at Law.

Her favorite job, however, was babysitting her grandchildren.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Terri Benson and her longtime partner, Keith McCaw, of Butler, and Debby Wilson and her husband, David, of Clinton, Pa.; four sisters, Tena Cole of Akron, Ohio, Joan Leyland of Butler, Mary Ann Kastelic of Butler, and Phyllis Hull and her husband, Stanley, of Butler; and four grandchildren, Kylee Wilson and her husband, Ethan, and David Wilson, Courtney Cannell and her husband, Patrick, and Steven Benson and his wife, Chelsea, along with their father, Jeff Benson.

She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Verity Rayne Wilson, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her niece, Roseann Geibel Zirnsak, was a wonderful caregiver to her for the last several years.

In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Steven A. “Buzz” Buzanoski, who passed away April 27, 1968; and two brothers, Domenic Trombatt and David “Junior” Trombatt.

Lena will always be remembered for putting family first. She was totally devoted to her two daughters, her four grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. Anyone who met her was considered family. Her passing will leave a permanent hole in our lives, but she will remain in our hearts forever.
