One taken to hospital in Pittsburgh Road crash
An elderly male was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital after his vehicle rear-ended another vehicle at around 1:40 p.m. Monday, July 8, on Pittsburgh Road near its intersection with Litman Road in Butler Township, officials said.
According to Butler Township police, witnesses told officers that the northbound truck rear-ended the car in front of it, which caused it to side swipe a third vehicle. The front of the truck was heavily damaged.
First responders stopped traffic to deal with the wreckage, with officers directing vehicles flowing into and out of Greater Butler Mart to get around the crash scene. Cars were backed up to the Picklegate Bridge by 2 p.m.
