John and Sandra Smith

John and Sandra Smith of Butler celebrated 55 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Hardwood Cafe.

Smith married the former Sandra Porkolab on Sept. 14, 1957.

They have two children, Lori Vavro and John Smith Jr., both of Butler.

They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Smith is retired from Millwrights Local 2235 Pittsburgh.

He is a member of the Happy Hunters Sportsman Club.

Mrs. Smith is an executive secretary at Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center.

The Smiths enjoy car shows and cruises, family dinners, going to camp and spoiling their dog.

The Smiths in 1957
