Western Pennsylvania UMC under new leadership starting Sept. 1
The Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church has a new leader.
On Friday morning, July 12, the Northeast Judicial Conference assigned Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball to become the next episcopal leader of the WPAUMC.
Bishop Ball will take the place of current Bishop Cynthia Moore-Koikoi, and she will leave her position as the episcopal leader of the West Virginia Annual Conference to take up her new role, which is effective Sept. 1.
Bishop Moore-Koikoi, meanwhile, has been assigned to serve the Greater New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania annual conferences.
