Dean E. McFadden, 77, of Butler died Saturday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Butler, the son of the late Braden McFadden and the late Marcela (Kline) McFadden.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.

He was a member of the Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Company.

He enjoyed fishing and camping at Pymatuning, watching NASCAR and the Steelers.

He had worked at Pullman Standard and also drove bus for Butler city and the Butler School District.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah (Twentier) McFadden, whom he married April 12, 1952; three daughters, Yvonne Eppinger of Butler, Denise Meals of Knox and Sandra and her husband, Jeff Barnhart, of Chicora; five grandchildren, Wilson Eppinger of Butler, Shawn Undercuffler of Knox, Michelle Dehart of Parker and Zane and Jeremiah Barnhart of Chicora; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Caden Dehart of Parker; three sisters, Donna and her husband, William Hilliard, Beatrice Weiland and Patricia and her husband, Ron Bester, all of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

<B>MCFADDEN</B> — A memorial service for Dean E. McFadden, who died Saturday, March 21, 2009, will be held at 1 p.m. April 4 at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
