Griffin 90th birthday
Francis Griffin of Prospect will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Presbyterian Church of Prospect and a family dinner.
He was born on Aug. 22, 1921, in Smithfield. He married Marjorie Doriani Griffin on Dec. 28, 2007 at the Presbyterian Church in Big Run.
Griffin has three children with the late Ruth Lloyd Griffin. They are Linda Griffin of Prospect, Marcia Lutz of Butler and Glenn Griffin of Prospect. Marjorie also has three children, Paul Doriani of Williams Port, Dan Doriani of St. Louis and Chris Doriani of Phoenixville.
He also has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Griffin is a retired farmer and insurance agent.
He is a member and ordained elder of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.
He is the oldest member of the Portersville-Prospect Rotary Club.
