Martha E. (Burkhart) George, 88, of Cranberry Township passed away on Sunday while under the care of Evergreen Nursing Home.

Born July 17, 1923, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Ethel (Westbrook) Burkhart.

Martha was a devout member of the New Brighton Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry (Julie) George of Gibsonia and Richard (Kathleen) George of Florida; seven grandchildren, Eric, Craig and Heather George, Michael (Pam) George, Michelle George, Melissa (Bradley) Puckett and Wendy George; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. George, and her brother, Roy Burkhart.
