Zola Mae Faulisi
Zola Mae Denny Faulisi, 90, of Butler passed away Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Butler, Nov. 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edna Mae Wilson Stewart.
She was a homemaker and formerly was employed at American Hardware, Milo Williams jewelry store and Montgomery Ward.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She also belonged to the Tanglewood Center, where she was a former president. She also conducted travel tours at Tanglewood.
She did volunteer work at St. Michael's when Father Vincent Marinaro was pastor. She organized and directed the first fashion show at St. Michael's. She was a former Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by one son, Harry T. Denny and his wife, Linda, of Butler; two daughters, Shirley M. Scialabba and her husband, Nick, of Butler and Pamela A. Denny of Butler; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Faulisi, who passed away in 1986; one daughter, Valerie J. Fend, who passed away in 1975; and one brother.
<B>FAULISI </B>— Friends of Zola Mae Denny Faulisi, who died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, will be received at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Father James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Ladies of Charity of the St. Michael Church.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, Butler, and information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
