Helicopter called to West Sunbury Road accident
A man had to be transported by a medical helicopter on Tuesday after he sustained severe injuries in a two-car accident.
The accident happened on West Sunbury Road near Holyoke Road when a man in a pickup truck was driving north when he got into an accident with an SUV, according to a family friend of the pickup truck driver. Denise Platt said she was in the area when she heard the accident nearby.
State police on the scene confirmed that the man in the pickup truck was entrapped before emergency responders were able to pry him out. He was evacuated by LifeFlight to a hospital, according to police.
