New traffic signals to be installed in Slippery Rock Twp.
New traffic signals will be installed on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township beginning Wednesday, July 24, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Installation and construction will take place through Jan. 14, 2025, and involves the replacement of the current flashing beacons with new mounted beacons and flashing warning signs that alert motorists of crossing traffic.
The first installation will be at the intersection of Route 8 and Branchton Road on Wednesday. Flaggers will be used as needed.
The $115,010 project is being completed by contractor Bronder Technical Services of Prospect.
