Genevieve Evelyn (Cline) Pentony
Genevieve Evelyn (Cline) Pentony, 91, of Kingwood, W.Va., died on Wednesday at Windy Hill Village in Kingwood, W.Va.
Genevieve was born June 17, 1926, in Tunnelton. She was a daughter of the late William H. and Stella K. (Bolyard) Cline.
She was a 1945 graduate of Tunnelton High School and was a Methodist by faith.
Genevieve enjoyed sewing and was known for sewing for the Preston County Buckwheat Festival Pageant for many years.
She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Howie and Jane Pentony of Prospect, and Jerry and Valerie Pentony of Oak Harbor, Wash.; three sisters, Mable Wiles of Tunnelton, Lucille Beavers of Clinton, Ohio, and Alice Faye Shannon of Shelbyville, Del.; and also two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hubert Pentony, who died April 15, 2008; and three sisters, Ruth, Orpha and Opal.
