Lyman C. Boring
Lyman C. Boring, 71, of Butler, died Saturday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 21, 1938, in Butler, he was the son of the late Lyman J. and Janet Davis Boring.
He was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1956, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was employed at Butler Armco, retiring in 2000 after 35 years of service. He also worked as a tax preparer in the Butler area for many years.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Butler, the Elks Lodge of Butler and American Legion Post 117.
He was an avid reader and golfer, and he was a supporter of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra.
He is survived by two sons, L. Eric Boring and his wife, Miranda, of Butler, and Greg Boring, of Las Vegas; a daughter, Alison Carey and her husband, Jeffrey, of Butler; a brother, Edward Boring, of Butler; and two grandsons, Isaac and Owen Boring of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Pincek Boring, who died Dec. 28, 2006.

Boring, who died Saturday, March 27, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave.Funeral services will at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev.
