Grace I. Fay
Grace I. Fay, 90, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Alberta, Canada, June 29, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John E. Cockroft and Margaret Robinson Cockroft Collins.
She was a homemaker.
During World War II, she worked in the shell shop at the Pullman Standard plant. She also was a cook at Morgan's Diner and at Isaly's in the Greater Butler Mart.
She is survived by one son, William J. Fay Sr. and his wife, Patricia, of Butler; four grandchildren, William J. Fay Jr. and his wife, Rachel, of Houston, Texas, Robert V. Fay and his wife, Shawna, of Hartford, Conn., Brian R. Fay and his wife, Mary, of Sidney, Mont., and Angela G. Gagliardi and her husband, Rob, of Herman; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Fay, who passed away March 8, 2009; four brothers and three sisters
<B>FAY</B> Friends of Grace I. Fay, who died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.Members of the St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at the church at 9:35 a.m. Saturday to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
