Anna M. Baptiste

Anna M. Baptiste, 73, of Karns City passed away at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday at her home following a short illness.

She was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of the late John Repischak and the late Eleanora Dzialo Repischak.

She had been employed at Bell Telephone in Canada, Peoples United in Butler and Zanella Auto Parts in Butler. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed doing crafts and family history.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice E. Baptiste, who she married Feb. 12, 1966; and one brother, Chester Repischak and his wife, Estelle, of Quebec, Canada. Also surviving are two brothers-in-law and their wives, Richard and Alice Baptiste of Butler and Ron and Gina Pyrick of Zelienople; and a number of nieces and nephews.

BAPTISTE — Friends of Anna M. Baptiste, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, will be received at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias, retired Presbyterian minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Canada.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 112, Concordville, PA 19331, or the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1710, New York, NY 10122.
