Ostwinch

Mary C. Ostwinch, 91, a resident of the Fosnight Personal Care Home in Gibsonia and formerly of Butler, died Saturday.

She was born in Marshall, Mo., on June 28, 1918, a daughter of the late Alex and Nora Sidwell Craig.

She was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. Following the war, she worked as a dental and hearing technician for the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Altoona. She later worked in the catalog department at the Montgomery Ward Store on Main Street in Butler, and she was also a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph Ostwinch, whom she married July 30, 1955; one sister-in-law, Peggy Ostwinch of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

<B>OSTWINCH</B> — Friends of Mary C. Ostwinch, who died Saturday, July 4, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler with the Rev. James Dolan, pastor, officiating.
