David W. Lessner

David W. Lessner, 69, of Mars died Thursday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Richard and Edna Ebel Lessner.

Dave was a life insurance agent for Met Life and was a member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he also belonged to the Mars V.F.W. Post 7505.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Casella Lessner, who he married on March 15, 1969; his son, Keith Lessner in New York; his daughters, Tracey Lessner of Cranberry Township and Denise Tabacchi (David) of Seven Fields; his grandchildren, Gianna and Dante Tabacchi; his sisters, Mary Lou Radocay (Robert) of Sewickley, Betsy Schultz (John) of Valencia and Virginia Miros (Jim) of Gibsonia; his brothers, Paul Lessner (Cydney) of Worthington, Arthur Lessner (Deborah) in North Carolina, Gary Lessner (Sheila) of Petrolia and Timothy Lessner (Gail) in Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Lessner.

LESSNER — Friends of David W. Lessner, who died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Kilian Church at the corner of Clark and Cherry streets, Mars, at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.Burial with military honors will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
