Audrey H. Wasko, 86, of Butler died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 11, 1922, in Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Thomas L. and Olive Hohn Pennington.

She was a member of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir for 17 years. She also was a life member of the Tanglewood Senior Center and the Sassy Seniors in Saxonburg.

She was an avid gardener.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Hagler of Fort Mill, S.C.; four sons and their spouses, Dennis L. and Darlene Wasko of Florence, S.C., Richard L. and Carol Wasko of Waxhaw, N.C., Terry J. and Felominia Wasko of Lynchburg, Va., and Brian and Kimberly M. Wasko of Waldorf, M.D.; 13 grandchildren; a step-grandchild; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John (Lucille) Sheldon of Boardman, Ohio; and two brothers, Robert "Lynn" Pennington of West Middlesex and James L. Pennington of Albuquerque, N.M.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Schrecongost; a granddaughter; a sister; two infant sisters; two brothers; and an infant brother.

<B>WASKO</B> — Friends of Audrey H. Wasko, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Ext., with the Rev. James Salberg officiating.
