Seneca Valley Senior High goes online after 8 cases of COVID reported

After reporting eight active COVID-19 cases and one pending, Seneca Valley Senior High School has temporarily closed.

Students in grades 11 and 12 moved to remote learning Monday and will continuing learning online through Friday, according to a district message to parents.

The administration plans to continue to monitor the local data concerning the district.

“Please know we are taking the above action to protect the health and safety of our students, staff and families,” the alert said.

Meanwhile, Ryan Gloyer Middle School, grades 7th and 8th, will continue remote instruction through Tuesday with in-person classes slated to begin Wednesday.
