Butler-based human service organization, Center for Community Resources, has announced its executive director Beth Gillan will be retiring, effective Jan. 31, 2025.

Gillan joined CCR as a program manager in 2007, and she held the roles of senior manager and senior director before becoming executive director in 2019.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors we extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for Beth’s dedication, commitment, and passion to go above and beyond to help individuals and families in need,” Linda Dodd, CCR board president said. “Her leadership has brought stability to CCR. Her commitment to supporting staff and staff development has empowered our staff and strengthened our culture of excellence, as well as CCR’s ability to provide the resources to serve the community’s needs with programs and services in 67 counties throughout Pennsylvania.

Throughout her tenure, Beth has played a role in the agency’s development, including moving the Butler office to its current location at 212-214 South Main Street in Butler.

She helped with the expansion of services into Clarion County in 2014 and Washington County in 2018, followed by 13 other counties in 2019 and 2020.

In her retirement, Gillan said she looks forward to spending time with her family, traveling, biking, hiking, playing pickleball, learning and volunteering.

“I have been with the agency for 17 years, and it has been my great honor to serve as the executive director since 2019,” Gillan said. “I am humbled and grateful to be part of this organization and the good work we do. Putting our 2024-2027 strategic plan goals and priorities into action has begun and along with the good work we do every day, it will carry on when I leave.

“Until Jan. 31, 2025, I will continue to work and ensure we live up to our mission to make a difference in everyday lives.”
