Kathleen Wilbert

Wilbert

Kathleen A. "Kathy" Wilbert, 53, of 208 Water Station Road, Evans City, died Saturday morning, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Aug. 31, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Mabel Young Walsh.

She was a 1970 graduate of Butler High School and received a nurse's aide certification at the Butler County Vocational-Technical School.

Mrs. Wilbert was a homemaker and mother and had been employed in the hot-food preparation and service department at the Cranberry Township Giant Eagle supermarket for the past two years.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and a former member the VFW Auxiliary of Post 499 in Evans City.

Kathy, or Gram as she was known to many, was a loving, nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.

She had inherited her mother's sense of humor and could always bring a smile to those around her. She liked nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who likewise adored her. She was so happy to be able to share in the joy of her youngest child Jay's recent wedding and was looking forward eagerly to the birth of her sixth grandchild.

She will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her husband, Charles R. Wilbert, whom she married Sept. 14, 1974; two sons, Gary Wilbert and Charles "Jay" Wilbert Jr. and his wife, Crystal, all of Evans City; a daughter, Tammy Wilbert and her fiancé, Sonny Fleeger, of Butler; and five grandchildren, Richard and Victoria Wilbert and Nathaniel, Tyler and Jesse Fleeger.
