George G. Felsing
George Glenn Felsing, 98, of Butler passed away at 1:04 a.m. Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia.
He was born June 2, 1912, in Clinton Township, to the late George P. Felsing and Sarah Peters Felsing.
Mr. Felsing was a 1931 graduate of Tarentum High School.
He was a supervisor for Armco Steel in Butler for 40 years, retiring on July 1, 1977.
He was a charter member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. He was a member of the Tanglewood Center.
He enjoyed his family, hunting, his hunting camp, elk viewing, baseball and football.
Mr. Felsing is survived by his wife, Helen Luella (Curry) Felsing, who he married Dec. 12, 1938; one son, James E. Felsing and his wife, Karen, of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Bruce (Lois) Renick of Harrisville and Mrs. James (Marjorie) Pifer of Prospect; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Glenn D. Felsing; one grandson; one sister, and three brothers.
<B>FELSING </B>— Friends of George Glenn Felsing, who died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
