Mary Hopkins
Mary Elizabeth Hopkins, 67, of Purcell, Mo., died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin following a two-week illness.
She was born Feb. 24, 1943, in Hillville, Armstrong County. From 1975 until 1993, she lived in Butler County.
She was a graduate of LaRoche College.
She moved to the Purcell area 12 years ago from Elgin, Ill.
Mary was the owner of the Wooden Nickel Tavern in Purcell.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Robinson; an infant sister, Carol Robinson; and a brother, Edward Robinson.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Hopkins of Butler; four daughters, Laurie Etzel and her husband Brian, of Austin, Texas, Valerie Hopkins of Butler, Kate Hopkins of Seattle, Wash., and Melanie Di Antonio and her husband Robert, of Williamsburg, Va.; her father, Raymond Robinson, of Mercer; a sister, Kathleen Bordell of Hermitage; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one on the way.
<B>HOPKINS</B> — Mary Elizabeth Hopkins, who died Saturday, April 10, 2010, has been taken for cremation. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today at the <B>Hedge-Lewis Chapel</B> in Webb City, Mo., with Roger Hasselquist, minister, officiating. Burial will be later in Hillville. Arrangements are by <B>Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home, </B>Webb City, Mo.
