11th Community Night to feature activities
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, will host his 11th annual Community Night from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Butler Farm Show Grounds.
The event will include several vendors from county, state and federal agencies, as well as businesses and services, which will have information about programs available in the 11th District.
There will be interactive activities, including an inflatable slide and bounce castle; a LifeFlight helicopter; fire trucks; a fishing derby; a children’s train ride; and a hot dog-eating contest.
New this year will be a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
There is no fee to attend, but Ellis asks those who come to bring a donation of a paper product or a nonperishable food item for a food bank.
Door prizes will be awarded, and food will be available for purchase.
