Ora Belle Shea, 94, of Butler passed away at 11:15 a.m. Friday at the Orchard at Concordia in Butler.

She was born April 8, 1919, in Concord Township, the son of the late Robert Mark Wick and Mary (Shearer) Wick.

Ora graduated from Shaler High School in 1938 and Allegheny General School of Nursing in 1943. She worked in the operating room for three years and in an orthopedic clinic for eight years at Kentucky Baptist Hospital.

She was a member of the Shaler Garden Club and the Order of Eastern Star, and she enjoyed golf, counted cross stitch, quilting and gardening.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Shea, who died Jan. 25, 2012; four brothers, C. Victor, Robert A., H. Arthur and James C. Wick; and five sisters, A. Olive Trout, Mattie E. Parker, Marian Ripper, Harriet Staley and Helen Bargerstock Burke.

SHEA — Friends of Ora Belle Shea, who died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 1 p.m. to the time of service at 3 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Roger Nuerge, chaplain with Concordia Lutheran Ministries, officiating.
