Police Reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Adams Twp

July 9 — David W. Roessler, 62, of East Millsboro, Pa., was charged with misdemeanor habitual offender related to a March 19 traffic stop in the parking lot of Mars Area High School. Police said Roessler was driving on a suspended license, despite having 21 past driving suspensions within in the past 10 years.

July 25 — Carrie A. Pittman, 45, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count of an unlicensed dog and three misdemeanor counts of harboring a dangerous dog related to Pittman’s ownership of a pit bull named “Lou.”

Aug. 5 — Thomas E. Leith Jr., 19, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession related to a July 27 traffic stop on Main Street. Police said they saw empty beer cans in the car and asked to search it. Police said during the search, they found a glass smoking pipe in the center console.

Aug. 5 — Jason P. Stephenson, 43, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a June 11 traffic stop on Jefferson Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed Stephenson was impaired, and a later blood test showed meth, xylazine and fentanyl in his system. Police said they also found 48 stamp bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl in Jason’s vehicle.

Aug. 5 — Lindsay N. Maples, 36, of Cabot, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a June 18 traffic stop on North Main Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed Maples was impaired, and a later blood test showed cocaine, meth and lorazepam in her system.

Aug. 5 — Samantha L. Walker, 27, of Butler, was charged with felony counts of robbery and attempted robbery and misdemeanor resisting arrest related to an Aug. 24 call to Mercer Street. Police said Walker tried to steal a woman’s car and did manage to steal a set of keys. Police said during her arrest, Walker resisted by pulling away from them.

July 30 — William E. Gorham II, 28, of Butler, was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor simple assault related to a July 20 domestic incident on Greenview Drive. Police said during an argument, Gorham pinned a woman against a wall by her throat and then threw her to the ground, causing injury to her neck and back.

July 30 — Yvonne C. Jackson, 19, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief related to a July 24 incident at the intersection of South Washington and West Jefferson streets. Police said Jackson exited her vehicle and hit another woman’s car with a baseball bat, then threw several glass bottles at the car.

July 30 — Keira A. Sporny, 19, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to an incident at E-Z Stop on North Main Street. Police said Sporny pepper sprayed a woman during an argument.
