Joanne R. Fogel
Joanne R. Fogel, 76, of Butler passed away Wednesday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice Unit.
She was born in Butler on Dec. 19, 1933, and was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Moore Minich.
Joanne was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Worsley's, Eat n' Park and the cafeteria at the Butler Senior High School.
She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Aubrey's A.M. Ladies Golf League and the Space Bowling Team at Family Lanes.
Joanne also enjoyed playing with her Card Club with her friends, attending the Butler Little Theatre and spending time at the family cottage in North Washington.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Fogel, who she was married to for 55 years; four sons, James L. Fogel of Butler, Gary L. Fogel and his wife, Karen, of Butler, Keith A. Fogel and his wife, Melany, of Butler, and Scott D. Fogel and his wife, Grace, of Butler; one daughter: Michele Sheaffer and her husband, Brendon, of Butler; two brothers, Jack Minich and his wife, Lois, of Butler, and William Minich and his wife, Phyllis, of Butler; and eight grandchildren.
<B>FOGEL</B> — Friends of Joanne R. Fogel, who died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave, Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church will meet at the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m. to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice Unit, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001.Please visit www.martinfh.net.
