Traffic in Cranberry to be affected by Freedom Road project this week
Motorists are advised of upcoming lane closures as part of the ongoing Freedom Road expansion project in Cranberry Township.
On Aug. 21 and 22, motorists will experience single-lane closures with flagging between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. between Haine School Road and Lovi Road, as crews work to widen the nearby Freedom Road.
In addition to widening, the project includes new driving and turning lanes, new paving, new lighting, realignment, and signal replacements. The project is expected to wrap up in November of 2025 at a cost of $18 million, with Gulisek Construction of Mt. Pleasant serving as the main contractor.
