Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments.

Cranberry Twp

July 24 — Darena V. Carpenter, 34, of Clairton, Pa., was charged with felony counts of retail theft and trespassing and misdemeanor possession of stolen items related to an April 30 incident at Walmart. Police said Carpenter tried to conceal unpaid items in grocery bags as she shopped. Police said Carpenter failed to pay for items with a total value of $659.

July 24 — Cruz R. Napoleon, 47, of Butler, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor DUI related to a July 5 traffic stop on Route 422 in Summit Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Napoleon was impaired and a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.199%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

July 23 — Daniel E. Torchia Jr., 35, of Rimersburg, was charged with felony and misdemeanor false statement related to an attempted purchase of a pistol Dec. 13 from Logan’s Gun Gallery in North Washington. Police said Torchia lied on the form about his criminal history.

July 21 — Jianhang Wang, 35, of Flushing, N.Y., was charged with felony trademark counterfeiting and misdemeanor counts of theft by deception and possessing criminal instruments related to a July 20 investigation at Walmart. Police said Wang tried to return a counterfeit Apple Watch to customer service.

July 17 — Sebastian M. Lichy, 21, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a June 28 traffic stop on Rowan Road. Police said field sobriety tests showed Lichy was impaired, and a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.125%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Jackson Twp

July 18 — Garrett J. Polaski, 42, of Zelienople, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to a July 17 domestic incident. Police said that after an argument, Polaski shoved his mother onto a couch and pressed a hand to her forehead causing a red mark.

July 13 — Julie M. Wesolowski, 39, of Harmony, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to a domestic incident on Mathew Drive. Police said Wesolowski hit a man in the head with a metal cup causing a cut to the man’s head.

State Police, Butler

July 23 — Michael M. Doyle, 23, of Gibsonia, was charged with five misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a June 22 traffic stop on Myoma Road, Adams Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Doyle was impaired and a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.155%, as well as the presence of amphetamine. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

July 23 — Jasmine R. McIntosh, 26, of Renfrew, was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession related to a May 25 traffic stop on Route 68 in Forward Township. Police said a search of McIntosh’s vehicle revealed a baggie containing marijuana.

July 17 — Judy L. Sangricco, 62, of Evans City, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI related to a June 21 traffic stop on Plains Church Road in Cranberry Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Sangricco was impaired and a later blood test showed her blood-alcohol content at 0.194%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

July 16 — Jason R. Zarnick, 42, of Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor for driving a vehicle without ignition interlock equipped related to a May 25 traffic stop in Butler Township. Police said Zarnick was not driving a vehicle with the proper equipment, despite it being mandatory.
