Mars school district threat deemed non-credible
Middlesex Township Police and Mars Area School District administrators have deemed a threat involving Mars Area High School on the first day of school to be non-credible.
The district received an anonymous tip of a threat Wednesday, Aug. 22.
The district announced on its website that “there is no imminent threat to the health and safety of the student body and/or staff members at Mars Area High School or at any other District buildings.”
Any additional information will be communicated appropriately, the district stated in its announcement.
