Emma Bogacki

Emma Bogacki

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, teammate and friend, Emma Bogacki, who was taken from us too soon on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the tender age of 17, along with her loving 13-year-old brother, Grant Bogacki, and father, Nathan Bogacki. She was born at the Beaver Medical Center in Pennsylvania on May 8, 2007.

Emma attended Riverside Elementary and Middle schools, Ellwood City High School and Lincoln Park Charter School, where she was entering her senior year and expected to graduate in 2025. Emma always worked hard in school and found ways to see the bright side in every situation. There was not a teacher, bus driver, janitor, or anyone who did not have a positive memory of Emma. She was known at the school for making everyone smile and laugh.

Emma was a member of the Lincoln Park basketball team, where she was known for her positive attitude and team spirit, but her true passion was softball. She played for Western Beaver High School and Silver Creek Travel Softball, where she excelled on the pitcher's mound and was feared by all who faced her at the plate. Emma was truly the type of player that all young athletes admired, especially her younger sister and cousins. She was the teammate who lifted you up when you were down and always uncovered the silver lining in every situation. You would never see her down on herself or upset with her teammates as she was a true leader. She was loved by every coach and player who was ever lucky enough to have the opportunity to share the field with her.

Emma leaves behind a heartbroken yet grateful family: her loving mother, Nicole Bogacki; and younger sister, Aubrey. She also leaves behind her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Janice Aloi; paternal grandparents, Edward and Patty Bogacki; aunts and uncles, Natalie and David Syka and Amy and Mike Hepak; and loving cousins, Maddie, Tyler and Makinley Syka, and Taytum and Kenzie Hepak.

She was met at heaven's gate by her maternal great-grandparents, Frank and Dorothy Horniak and Samuel and Catherine Aloi; paternal great-grandparents, Edward and Mary Louise Bogacki and Edward and Virginia Baker; and all her beloved pets that have crossed the rainbow bridge.

Emma's amazing smile and positive spirit will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
