Betty Edwards

Betty M. Edwards, 80, of Sarver passed away Thursday at the Fair Winds Manor.

Born on Jan. 24, 1934, in West Tarentum, she was the daughter of the late Cecil M. Peters and Frances Shaffer Peters.

Betty was a homemaker and a nanny.

She was a member of the Lighthouse Fellowship Church, where she was a member of the Silver Saints and prayer groups.

She enjoyed listening to radio and TV and also attending church activities.

Surviving are her son, Jeff J. Edwards of Sarver; her three daughters, Pamela (Lance) Dasch of Butler, Audrey McWilliams of Cabot and Vickie (Mark) Durst of Sarver; her four grandchildren; and her two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Melvin J. Edwards on Nov. 21, 1993; her two brothers, Bill Peters and Richard Peters; and her two sisters, Kay Hickey and Joan Ealy.

Edwards — The friends of Betty M. Edwards, who passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Shick officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.
