Anna Mae Birch
Anna Mae Birch, 88, of Murrysville passed peacefully Saturday in her sleep while in hospice care in Belair Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lower Burrell.
She was born in New Kensington, the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Shadle Gregg.
Anna Mae had worked at Ferri Pharmacy in Murrysville for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church in Murrysville.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and socializing at the Senior Citizens Center of Level Green and New Kensington, the Salvation Army and spending time with family and friends. She also had belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star.
Anna Mae is survived by one sister, Pearl Scott and her companion, Lou Smith, of Apollo; her niece/stepdaughter, Margaret (Arthur) Birch Scisciana of Middlesex Township; her nephew/stepson, Calvin (Susan) Birch Jr. of Boise, Idaho; her grandson, Luke Birch of Boise; her son-in-law, Gregory (Sandy) Kline of New Kensington; her grandson, Matthew (Juli) Kline of Allison Park; her grandchildren, Michael Kline of Washington, D.C., and Rachael Kline of Fox Chapel; two great-grandchildren, Owen Kline and Anna Kline; her aunt, Dorothy Moore of Lower Burrell; her uncle, Paul (Dorothy) Shadle of New Kensington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Kiebler Sr.; her second husband, Calvin Birch Sr.; her son, Delbert Kiebler Jr.; her daughter, Diana Kline; her brother, Edward Gregg; and her nephew, James Scott II.
BIRCH — Family and friends of Anna Mae Birch, who died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.
