Wayne J. Silvonic
Wayne J. Silvonic, 61, of Portersville passed away Tuesday while in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his loved ones.
Born Aug. 6, 1953, in North Charleroi, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Culp) Silvonic.
During his free time, Wayne loved restoring old vehicles, gardening, landscaping, bike riding, kayaking and fishing.
He was employed by SAE International in Warrendale as an art director. Wayne, along with a few of his co-workers, received the 2014 Azbee Gold Award in the E-Zine category for the Oct. 24 and Dec. 18, 2013, issues of Vehicle Electrification.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 20 years, Janet L. Silvonic; his two stepdaughters, Rebecca M. Turowksy and her husband, Jeffery, of Kittanning and Mary E. McManus and her fiance, Aaron Kniess, of Zelienople; his special friend, who was like a son, Michael Fox and his wife, Alicia, and their two children, Lila and Levi Fox of Portersville; his brother, David Silvonic of Kittanning; and his aunt, Ethel Cross of Donora.
SILVONIC — The family of Wayne J. Silvonic, who died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jay Geisler officiating.
