Ruth E. Shannon Lees of Lynchburg, Va., formerly of Forest Hills and Karns City, died Wednesday.

She was the wife of the late Donald C. Lees; the mother of Cathy Gurley and her husband, Richard, of Indiana, Robert F. Lees and his wife, Janet, of Ohio, Helen Kravetz and her husband, Dan, of Level Green, Jane Lambert and her husband, Gary, of Colorado and Ruth Gould and her husband, Jim, of Virginia and 17 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Eddy, and her brother, Thomas Shannon.

Mrs. Lees was a former member and past president of the Women's Club of Forest Hills and she was a member of the Women's Club in Butler.

She had a talent for needlework, quilt making and sewing, creating items that she gifted to family and friends.

She enjoyed music and also traveling with her husband and their children when they were young.

LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME</B>, 700 Linden Ave., East Pittsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Maurice Church, Forest Hills.
