Kathleen E. Kelley

Kathleen Elizabeth Kelley, 92, died Thursday evening at Orchard Manor in Grove City.

Born Nov. 29, 1913, in Brady Township, near Slippery Rock, she was the daughter of John Paul and Lulu Jean Shannon Barkley.

She was the oldest member at the Mount Zion Baptist Church, Prospect.

Mrs. Kelley had been a cook at the Garden Gate Restaurant in Prospect for 25 years. She then was a cook at the Spencer's Nursing Home in Slippery Rock until she retired at 83.

She was a member of the Worth Township Grange and the Moraine's Sportsmen's Club. She enjoyed bingo, cooking, baking and embroidery.

Surviving are two sons, Harvey Paul Kelley of Freehold, N.J., and Fred N. Kelley of Slippery Rock; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Judy Kay) Scott of Butler; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A brother, Dale "Bob" Barkley of Grove City, and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Betty Jo) Long of Harrisville, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Samuel Kelley, who died May 17, 1969; a son, Harold David; and three infant grandchildren.

<B>KELLEY </B>— Friends of Kathleen Elizabeth Kelley, who died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home at with the Rev. Jason Williams, her church pastor, officiating.
