Sara Walters Swan, 96, of Crafton, formerly of Richland Township, died on Sunday in Allegheny General Hospital, North Side.

Born Dec. 2, 1909, in Downieville, she was the daughter of Harry M. and Ida June Kearns Walters.

She married George M. Swan, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Wilson Walters and Harry William Walters; and a sister, Eva Henry Ella Walters.

She was a volunteer at UPMC Passavant Hospital and owned and operated her own beauty parlor in Bakerstown for many years.

She is survived by a sister, Glenn W. Walters of Crafton; and many nieces and nephews.
