EAST BUTLER — An AARP driver safety course for seniors age 50 and older will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and Friday at East Butler Presbyterian Church at the corner of Ninth and Randolph streets.

An AARP discount is available. Those age 55 and older completing the course receive an auto insurance discount.

KARNS CITY — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will conduct an American Red Cross baby sitter's training class from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Karns City Municipal Building.The class is for ages 11 to 15. Emphasis will be on prevention, safety, responsibility, leadership and professionalism.Registration is required due to class size limits.
