Alderson 80th birthday
James Alderson of Saxonburg will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4:30 p.m. May 24 at the Saxonburg Fire Hall. The family requests no gifts.
Alderson was born May 21, 1929, in Saxonburg. He married Ganelle Fox in June 1952. She is deceased. He then married the former Edna Pflugh Halowell in May 1991.
He has seven children, Kimber Jones of Oakridge, Tenn.; Barbara Alderson of Monkton, Md.; Jill Ruzich of Mars; Brent Alderson of Butler; Heidi Hritz of Blawnox, James Halowell of Orcutt, Calif., and John Halowell of Baltimore. A daughter, Diane Davis, is deceased. He also has three grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
Alderson owned James Alderson Farm Equipment for 50 years and is an active member of Christ's Outreach Church.
