Washington Monthly has announced its 2024 College Guide and Rankings and Slippery Rock University was placed in the top 20% of institutions ranked in its category.

SRU was also named one of the “Best Bang for the Buck” colleges for affordability.

The university ranked 105 out of nearly 600 schools in the Master's Universities rankings.

Washington Monthly's editors rank four-year schools based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research and providing opportunities for public service.

SRU was ranked 180 out of nearly 400 institutions out of the northwest region in Washington Monthly's “Best Bang for the Buck” colleges.

This is measured by how well students obtain marketable degrees at affordable prices.
