SRU hosting Center for Rural PA listening session
The Center for Rural Pennsylvania is holding a listening session from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Robert M. Smith Student Center ballroom at Slippery Rock University about issues facing Butler, Armstrong, Lawrence and Indiana counties.
The center is helping the Pennsylvania Rural Population Revitalization Commission, established this year, to create reviews and recommendations aimed at attracting and retaining residents in rural Pennsylvania while addressing challenges facing rural communities due to population shifts and changing demographics.
Those who plan to attend should register at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SlipperyRock. The center is a legislative agency of the General Assembly and acts as a think tank and research arm.
