Poems of peace coming to Butler library
Poets Against Racism & Hate USA will offer a poetry reading at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St. in Butler.
The event is meant to support the group’s mission to confront racism, bigotry and hate through the power of poetry.
The live, in-person poetry reading is intended for mature audiences and may not be suitable for children, according to a news release from the library.
The free event is being presented as part of the Stories We Share series of events, which is made possible by the Janice Phillips Larrick Family Charitable Trust.
No registration is required to attend.
