Butler PoliceSaturday — An unknown thief overnight stole a Garmin global positioning system device from an unlocked car at a home in the 300 block of Wilson Avenue.Friday — An employee of Career Link reported that someone on May 10 stole a package containing about $300 in computer memory cards from the business office in Pullman Square.

Grove City PoliceSaturday — An unidentified vehicle struck and damaged a motorcycle that was parked in the 600 block of Flower Avenue. The driver did not stop after the hit-and-run crash that happened between noon and midnight.4:04 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Ashwin Gonnabhaktula, 23, of Erie struck a tree along George Junior Road. Gonnabhaktula was cited for driving vehicle at an unsafe speed.

State Police, Clarion7:35 p.m. Monday — A New Jersey man was hurt when he lost control of his tractor-trailer and crashed over guardrails and down an embankment on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County. The rig rolled over but landed on its wheels.The driver, Ali Sharif, 63, of Hackensack, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Sharif, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for careless driving.

State Police, Mercer4:51 p.m. May 25 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Yayoi Izawa, 33, of Oil City rear-ended a van on Route 208 at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. Police cited Izawa for careless driving. Dawn Bickerton, 47, of Scottdale, Westmoreland County, was driving the van.May 19 — A man and woman are suspected of passing counterfeit $100 bills at six stores at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. The suspects, who police did not identify, used the funny money between noon and 12:45 p.m.

State Police, New CastleMonday — An unknown identity thief used the debit card information of a Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, man to buy $412 worth of tires online last month. The tires were shipped to Florida and then to Venezuela.Sunday — A purse was stolen from a vehicle at McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township. The unknown thief broke the rear window to get into the Pittsburgh woman’s vehicle.May 16 — An 88-year-old Slippery Rock woman’s gold ring with diamonds was stolen from a home on Harlansburg Road in Plain Grove Township. The theft occurred between May 12 and 16.
