The Govans in 1958

Jim and Nancy Govan of Valencia will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a dinner for family and friends Aug. 16 at the V.F.W. in Mars. They also will celebrate with a trip in the fall.

Govan married the former Nancy Kennedy on Aug. 4, 1958, at the Gospel Church in Cumberland, Md. The Rev. Wood officiated.

They have four children, James Govan of Valencia, Suzanne Grove of Harrisville, Craig Govan of Cabot and Christi Augustine of Valencia.

They also have eight grandchildren.

Govan is retired from ESMin Saxonburg.

Mrs. Govan is retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture in Gibsonia. She belongs to the Mars Women's Club.

The Govans belong to the Mars United Presbyterian Church in Mars.
