Rose Mary Smith of Butler celebrated her 85th birthday with a family dinner at her daughter's house April 20.

The former Rose Mary Geibel was born April 20, 1923, in Herman. She married Leroy Smith October 15, 1953. He is deceased.

She has six children, Audrey Wilson of Slippery Rock, Gene Smith of East Butler, Cindy Double of Butler, Wayne Smith of Butler, LuAnn Widenhofer of Home, and Mary Pataky of Butler.

She also has number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith is a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman.
