The Seneca Valley Foundation recently celebrated a student-led fundraiser organized by senior Annika Batavia which generated over $11,000 for performing arts initiatives. The funds will be used to expand the district’s performing arts opportunities for elementary students through after school or summer programs.

The fundraiser, “Rising Stars of Seneca Valley,” exceeded Annika’s goal of raising $10,000.

Annika also ran two weeklong summer camps for underprivileged students ages 8 to 11 that provided an opportunity to learn more about musical theater.
