Mary E. “Liz” Guzzie, 62, of Grove City, formerly of Valencia, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, Cabot, following a lengthy illness from breast cancer.

She was born Aug. 12, 1950, in Jeannette, to Charles Dedo and Susan Stash Dedo.

She married August A. Guzzie Jr. on March 12, 1983, and he passed away Feb. 22, 2013.

She was employed by the American Eagle Corp. in Cranberry Township.

She was a Catholic.

Liz and her husband, Auggie, enjoyed tailgating at West Virginia Mountaineer games. Together they were both avid Mountaineer and Steelers fans. Liz enjoyed cooking and golfing.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa G. Chutz and her husband, Ben, of Grove City; one son, Kevin Kopninsky of Uniontown; one stepdaughter, Tina Clark and her husband, Mark, of Kittanning; one sister, Carolyn Neel, and her husband, Robert, of Irwin; and one brother, Charles Dedo and his wife, Jeanne, of Wheeling, W.Va.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Charlene Randolph.
