Thelma J. Ayres
Thelma J. Ayres, 77, of Zelienople died Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
She was born March 14, 1928, in Coraopolis, the daughter of Henry William and Helen L. Davidson Miller.
Mrs. Ayres was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship, Cranberry Township, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Zelienople American Legion Post 474. She was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge.
She enjoyed dancing and visiting her granddaughter.
She is survived by son, James R. Eyles of Valencia; a granddaughter, Savanna Jean Marie Eyles; her former husband, Richard N. Eyles, and many cousins.
Mrs. Ayers is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Ayres, who died Aug. 27, 1984, and a sister, Dorthy M. Miller
-Friends of Thelma J. Ayres, who died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Nuzzo, her church pastor, officiating.
